Three points prove that the lithium battery capacity has nothing to do with the ambient temperature!

The safe use of lithium batteries under different environmental conditions is crucial. In all environments. The temperature has the greatest influence on the charge and discharge function of the lithium battery. The electrochemical reaction at the electrode/electrolyte interface is related to the ambient temperature. The interface of the electrode/electrolyte is considered to be the blood of the lithium battery.

If the temperature drops, the response of the electrode will also decrease: assuming that the voltage of the lithium battery remains stable and the discharge current decreases. Then the power output of the lithium battery will also drop. If the temperature rises, the opposite is true. That is, the output power of the lithium battery will rise. The temperature also affects the transfer speed of the electrolyte, and the temperature rises to accelerate, and the temperature drop slows down: the charge and discharge function of the lithium battery is also affected. But the temperature is too high. It will destroy the chemical balance in the lithium battery. If a single lithium battery of 20 Ah is taken as an example, the usual environmental experiment is carried out:

1. When the lithium battery is fully charged, it is stored in a low temperature test chamber with an environment of (20-20 °C) for 20 hours. Discharge at a current of 1 IVA at (20-20) °C ambient conditions. Until the discharge stop voltage is 2.O V. The capacity of the lithium battery should not be less than 70% of the limit value. After measuring the battery capacity is 20 Ah. It is a limit value, indicating that the capacity value is not high at a low temperature of 20 ° C. change.

Second, in the experimental box where the ambient temperature is (20_+5) °C normal temperature state. The lithium battery was discharged at a current of 1 IVA until the discharge stop voltage was 2.0 V. At this time, the battery was tested. The capacity value should not be lower than the limit value or exceed the capacity value. The capacity test value is 21 Ah, which is 105% of the limit value, indicating that the lithium battery is in the normal range at (20_+5) °C normal temperature.

3. When the lithium battery is fully charged, store it in a high temperature test chamber with an environment of (55-2) °C for 5 hours, then discharge it at a current of 12.5A at (55-2) °C until the discharge stops. The voltage is 2.0 V. Its capacity should not be less than 95% of the limit value. The actual measured capacity value is 20 Ah, which is the limit value. It shows that the capacity value does not change at a high temperature of 55 °C.

Although theoretically, the environment has an impact on lithium batteries. But experiments have shown that lithium batteries are under conditions of temperature changes. The capacity value did not change very much. Therefore, the change in ambient temperature does not have much impact on the lithium battery.

Later, the lithium battery pack was used as a power battery. Then, no matter from which point, about the safety of the power lithium battery. The safety of a single lithium battery is the most important.
