The eight advantages of lithium battery summary

In the process of battery development, the advantages of lithium batteries are also increasing. The scope of use is also becoming wider and wider. We need more and more of our lives and production. The following are the eight advantages of lithium batteries that have been summarized by individuals:

1. Green environmental protection: No toxic, heavy metal substances such as lead, mercury and cadmium are produced during production, use or even scrapping.

2, no memory effect: This shows that lithium-ion batteries can charge and discharge at any time, unlike nickel-metal hydride, nickel-tin batteries, must wait until the power is exhausted.

3, the environment temperature change adaptability: can be used in -20 °C -60 °C environment, after special treatment, can be used in -45 °C environment.

4. Water conservation: Lithium-ion battery's main raw materials, such as lithium, manganese, iron, vanadium, etc., are all rich resources in our country; production basically does not consume water, which is very beneficial to countries where water sources are scarce.

5, lithium battery voltage platform is high: the average voltage of the single battery is 3.2V or 3.7V, approximately equal to the series voltage of 3 nickel-cadmium batteries or nickel-metal hydride batteries, to facilitate the composition of the battery pack.

6, the service life is relatively long: the service life can reach more than 6 years. A Lithium-ion battery with Lithium Phosphate as a positive electrode has, for example, a cycle time record of 1,000 cycles at a 1C charge and discharge rate.

7, the self-discharge rate is very low. The self-discharge rate is one of the outstanding characteristics of lithium-ion batteries. At room temperature, the self-discharge rate is about 10% for one month if fully charged, and 25 to 30% for nickel-cadmium and 30 to 35% for nickel-hydrogen under the same conditions. 

8, with high power endurance: such as lithium-ion battery for electric vehicles, lithium iron phosphate battery charge and discharge rate can reach 15C-30C, which is very suitable for high-intensity power car start and acceleration.
